The Planet is a living entity to which all souls return and it's lifeblood is referred to as the Lifestream.

Personal History: A wiki page!

Personality:

Reno has a very flamboyant personality. He's the type of person to be loud whenever he should obviously keep his mouth shut and most likely he's doing it on purpose. He just has that kind of cocky attitude. His confidence is deserved as while he appears to be a devil-may-care kind of lazy, he has a lot of skill beneath the showy personality of his. The problem is that his confidence comes out a little too spirited and he has a tendency to taunt those he thinks are beneath him. This can get him in trouble because it doesn't stop just because someone has proven to be more powerful than himself. He'll taunt to rile a person up, get into a fight, or just to amuse himself with whatever reaction he can get. And it may or may not be business related.

As already mentioned, Reno has the reputation of being laid back and uncaring of what's going on around him. For this reason he appears lazy and careless at times. However, Reno takes his job very seriously and despite his childish behavior will strive his hardest to complete his assigned task. He just likes to have fun while doing it. Unfortunately for those around him, his flavor of fun tends towards being cruel and bitterly sarcastic for no real reason. Perhaps its the dark nature of what the Turks generally do for the Shinra Company; they specialize in keeping Shinra's secrets by any means possible and tend to do a lot of dirty work under the table. It's sort of an open secret that they exist and what they do is horrible but no one calls them out for it out of fear. Reno takes this nasty reputation to heart in his demeanor just because he can. No one wants to challenge a Turk if they can help it. This allows Reno to push a lot of buttons and see how far he can tip the scales before they fall. His confidence that he can back up his bark with his bite makes this cocky and rude attitude a notch higher than most.

That being said, Reno does have a few redeeming qualities to him. Most notably he is clearly devoted to the Turks and has no qualms following orders from Shinra no matter how bad they get. This loyalty makes him a steadfast employee and a great partner to have at one's side. The one person Reno clearly cares about is his partner Rude. Whenever Rude looks to be in trouble Reno tends to get emotional in one way or another, whether it's calling out in concern or getting pissed off because he thinks Rude was hurt by someone he can take his anger out on. This loyalty extends to his other fellow Turks as well. Despite thinking Elena as incompetent when she first joins their ranks, Reno readily joins up with his rivals (temporarily) in order to save her because it's important to him to save every Turk. Whether he's taking his job seriously as a guard or because the Turks have been working closely with Rufus for so long now and he genuinely cares for the guy, Reno also has an unwavering loyalty to Rufus Shinra as well.

Reno is also quite friendly compared to the other Turks. When he's not being a loud-mouthed little shit he likes to relax and hang out. Reno doesn't seem to mind whose company he keeps whenever he's not on an assignment either. He may ask someone to leave if they're on Shinra's shit-list but notably will try to avoid a fight when he's off-duty and not actively looking for one. He also has no qualms pulling a one-eighty and being ostentatiously nice to a former enemy if suddenly they're no longer on aforementioned shit-list. Especially if he needs something from them. Reno isn't quite as good at being carefully manipulative as he is intimidatingly threatening to get what he wants but occasionally he can manage to be cute and persuasive persistent enough for it to pay off.

Overall, Reno has a nasty reputation and he doesn't mind it at all. Being a loyal Turk means being his best at the job but allows him to be his worse in just about everything else. He'll just as easily be your best friend or punch you in the face depending on the day. One thing he won't admit is the idea of redemption could be tempting...but he's not certain a person like him could be redeemed. And with his job as it is, he won't hold his breath or try all that hard. He'd rather keep up his childish antics, throw around his cocky attitude, and work for a company that can pay him for doing it. It's just easier that way, yo.
